Bills of Experience... Edinburgh in Memory...

These are the things in my wallet for a few months. Absolutely they are just some faded tickets, bills and receipts but for me they are worth than everything. They are bills of experience while I was in Edinburgh almost a year ago. I have to admit that I couldn't put aside those memories of being there and gained many great experiences. I wish that I could come back and stay longer. Maybe to fulfil my doctorate ambition. In this city I've learned how to be a better person, a more responsible father to my family and a better Muslim for my religion. I'm so grateful.

Edinburgh,
Laying on hilly terrain that makes you appealing to be tapped
Cool breezes from the north that makes you chilled
Castle on your top makes you a historic brink
That is all about you

Edinburgh
I walked on your path to find for guidance
My family on your belly to search for happiness
We were there to feel your emotions
That is all about us

Edinburgh
Call us back, call us back
All though thee way
But still close to thee

Ramadhan and Our Life...

Some people say that life is unfair, too short and unpredictable. Some people think that life is taking everything in their path - do not leave anything to others. But a small group of people think that this belief is just like non-human behaviour - behaviour that doubts the most precious gifts that God has gave to us - Brain and Iman.

We have been designed by God with nothing excepts a helpless body. The only thing that we can do is crying. On the journey of life, we learn how to crawl, walk and run; and these happen in stages of our development. The fact is human are created by God to obey the God Himself.

Human is just a very tiny particle creation compared to the whole universe that God has created - border-less and expanding, tens of trillion light years volume. We just nothing and just like non-exist. Yes! the whole universe is actually been created. This signs the God is Almighty and His existance. Only a small group of people could imagine this but the majority feel that they are owning this world. They forgot that there is unchallenged power is watching every single move we do physically, verbally and even anything wondering in our heart.

Nothing in this world is eternal. How long will we live? 50 years, 100 years or 200 years? No matter how long we can live, sooner or later we will die. From God we come and to Him we return. Are we ready for that?

In the blessed month of Ramadhan, please put aside every temporal thing and pray to God that we are on the right path. We surrender everything to God and only Him we ask for help. Yup we recite Al-Fatihah everyday but how many could understand it? The following is the translation of the Surah that we confess every time in prayer:

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Owner of the Day of Judgement.
Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
Show us the straight path, The path of those whom Thou hast favoured;
Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.
